Guidelines for Creating and Submitting Entries for the Psychological Awareness Competition

General Guidelines

  1. Eligibility: Open to students, teachers, psychologists, psychiatrists, parents, and research scholars.
  2. Deadline: All entries must be submitted by deadline.
  3. Submission Format:
    • Digital entries should be submitted via the online form link given on this page.
  4. Originality: All entries must be original work. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
  5. Evaluation Criteria: Relevance to psychological awareness, creativity, originality, clarity, and impact.

Categories and Specific Guidelines

Posters

  1. Theme: Must relate to psychological awareness.
  2. Size: A3 (297 x 420 mm) or A4 (210 x 297 mm) ( preferably but not mandatory)
  3. Medium: Digital or hand-drawn ( scan and upload ).
  4. Format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF for digital submissions.
  5. Details: Must include the title and a brief description (100-150 words).
  6. Dont forget to add your name, affiliation, city and contact details.

Articles

  1. Theme: Must address a topic related to psychological awareness.
  2. Length: 800-1200 words.
  3. Format: Word document only. ( add suitable copyright free diagrams if applicable)
  4. Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.
  5. Details: Must include references and citations where applicable.

Short Films

  1. Theme: Must focus on psychological awareness.
  2. Duration: 3-10 minutes.
  3. Format: MP4 or AVI.
  4. Details: Must include a title and a brief description (100-150 words).
  5. Language: Non-English films ( regional languages are also accepted)
  6. Attach the film on google drive and share editable link in the submission form.

Online Sessions

  1. Theme: Must relate to psychological awareness.
  2. Duration: 30-60 minutes.
  3. Format: Pre-recorded.
  4. Platform: You can share recorded video with good quality.
  5. Details: Must include a title, agenda, and brief description (100-150 words).
  6. Attach the recorded video on google drive and share editable link in the submission form
  7. NOTE: experts and teachers can submit their videos to create awareness on any related topic. ( English or any regional language will be accepted)

Drawings

  1. Theme: Must depict an aspect of psychological awareness.
  2. Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm) or A3 (297 x 420 mm). : size can be modified if required
  3. Medium: Pencil, charcoal, ink, or digital.
  4. Format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF for digital submissions.
  5. Details: Must include the title and a brief description (50-100 words).

Paintings

  1. Theme: Must focus on psychological awareness.
  2. Size: Minimum size of A4 (210 x 297 mm).
  3. Medium: Watercolor, oil, acrylic, or digital.

  1. Theme: Must revolve around psychological awareness.
  2. Length: 1000-2000 words.

  5. Details: Must include a title and a brief synopsis (100-150 words).

Rangoli Competition Guidelines

Theme: The Rangoli must depict a theme related to psychological awareness. This can include, but is not limited to, mental health, emotional well-being, mindfulness, coping mechanisms, mental illnesses, or the importance of seeking psychological help.

Materials: Participants are allowed to use traditional Rangoli powders, flowers, colored sand, and other eco-friendly materials. Use of harmful or synthetic materials is strictly prohibited.

Size: The Rangoli should be created within a suitable place.

Judging Criteria:

  • Relevance to the theme
  • Creativity and originality
  • Use of colors and materials
  • Overall aesthetic appeal
  • Clarity in conveying the psychological theme

Submission: Participants should submit a photograph of their completed Rangoli a selefie ( along with geo tag or short video) relates to the psychological theme.

Format: Photographs must be in JPEG or PNG format, and the description should be in a single PDF including all the contact details.

Poem Writing Guidelines

Theme: Must discuss a topic related to psychological awareness. This can include mental health, emotional well-being, mindfulness, coping mechanisms, mental illnesses, or the importance of seeking psychological help. All languages are welcomed.

Length: The poem should be between 20 to 40 lines.

Format: Handwritten scan copies only (in a single PDF including all the contact details).

Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.

Details: The poem must be original and should include references and citations where applicable.

Judging Criteria:

  • Relevance to the theme
  • Creativity and originality
  • Expression of emotions and thoughts
  • Use of language and poetic techniques
  • Overall impact and message

Submission: Participants should submit a scanned copy of their handwritten poem as a single PDF file.
